Story/Description of Beach Bloom
I had just purchased my knew 100-300 mm zoom/macro lens.
This was one of the first photographs I took with it using the macro.
I was out on a sand dune reservation near arcata California where I
was currently residing while I worked on my undergraduate degree.
I had a monopod that a friend had just given me.
Do you know what a monopod is? It is a tripod with one leg. It
helps to steady the camera while taking a photo, but it is not enough to
hold the camera by itself. I had the monopod stuck about a foot in
the sand as I zoomed in on the flower.
