Story/Description of Frost Bite

I was strolling on the beach early one morning just before the sun crested the mountain.  The beach was covered with first.  It's not the way I'm used to seeing the beach.  I spied this frost covered log and I took off my gloves and put my mark in them.  Shortly afterward the sun made its way over the mountain top and lit up the log for this photograph.  About ten minutes after I snapped it the frost was melted leaving no sign of my hand prints.

Peoples  usual first reaction when looking at this photo is that it is a burn mark in the log. Unless one heated up their hands several hundreds of degrees that would not be too possible.  But, if you think about it, my hands were warmer than the frost, in fact they were probably hot in comparison.  In that sense, it is a photo of a burn mark in the frost on a log.
